Join Hands, for the Earth.Connect and Spread a Circle of Environmental Learning.

Representatives from Aeon Cheers Clubs participated in the Selection Contest either in Okinawa Prefecture or Hokkaido, and presented what they have learned over the past year.

Aeon undertakes activities of Aeon Cheers Club in which primary and junior high school students learn about environment based in its stores, with the hope of sound growth of children. This year marks the 20th year since JUSCO Children Eco Club (now Aeon Cheers Club) was launched. 50 Clubs among approximately 440 Clubs across Japan were selected at eight regional Contests, and participated in the Selection Contest held in Okinawa Prefecture and Hokkaido. With each presentation of the activities over the past year, the children learned from each other’s Clubs, and developed interest in environment through exposing to nature in field work with new peer.

Presently, Aeon Cheers Club plays an active role in Malaysia and China as well. A circle of environmental learning is spreading. Aeon continues to actively offer opportunities for children to learn about environment.
