First Aeon Store in Myanmar “Aeon Orange North Okkalapa Store” opened on September 30.

Aeon Co., Ltd. and Creation Myanmar Group of Companies Limited (hereinafter, CMGC) in Myanmar have established Aeon Orange Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, Aeon Orange) in April this year. Aeon Orange acquired 14 supermarkets (SM) operated by Hypermart Asia Co., Ltd. which is one of the affiliate companies of CMGC. With the launch of SM Business in the country, Myanmar has become the tenth country, including Japan, for Aeon to operate Retail Business. Aeon Orange North Okkalapa Store offers a good selection of unusual items for Myanmar, including Japanese food such as original Onigiri (rice-balls) using local ingredients and rolled Sushi, and small-portioned packets of fresh vegetables and fruits which can be consumed at one time. Moreover, Aeon’s private brand “Topvalu” products procured from Japan or neighboring countries are also offered.
