Passing on the Blessing of the Sun and Greenery to Future Generations. Promoting Japan-China Friendship through Environmental Conservation Activities.

A new “Three-year tree-planting program” has launched in Miyun, Beijing, while photovoltaic power systems are donated to elementary and junior high schools in Wuhan.

AEON Environmental Foundation has engaged in ongoing efforts in the tree-planting program and promotion of environmental education from 2016 and to 2018 based on the “Aeon Beijing Proposal for the Environment” that the Foundation announced with the People's Government of Beijing Municipality in September last year. On October 15, 800 volunteers from China and Japan planted 7,500 saplings over a 3-hectare area in Miyun, Beijing as part of the first-year efforts in the three-year initiative. On the next day, the Foundation donated photovoltaic power systems to five primary and junior high schools in Wuhan. The use of eco-friendly renewable energy will be an opportunity for children to learn about the environment. The participants in Aeon 1% Club’s “Japan-China Teenage Ambassador Program” from October 9 to 17 also joined in the tree-planting and the donation ceremony, deepening Japan-China exchange as “junior ambassadors.” Aeon continues to promote environmental conservation activities across generations and borders in order to pass on our beautiful Earth to the future generations.
