Side by Side with People in the Disaster Affected Areas for a Year- In Hope of Offering Assurance of Daily Shopping and a Place Where veryone
                        can Gather with a Smile.

We would like to express our deepest sympathy to those affected by the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake. The Aeon Group continues to take various initiatives to support the early recovery and restoration of the afflicted areas. In July 2016, Aeon began the operation of its mobile sales van to support the shopping of those moved into “Techno Temporary Housing Complex ,” the largest emergency shelter in Kumamoto Prefecture. Then in September, Aeon opened “Aeon Mashiki Techno Temporary Housing Complex Store.” The new Store collaborates with the complex residents and association of the community shopping area in offering products as well as holding various events that reflect the voices of the complex residents.
“Aeon Mall Kumamoto,” which had been partially suspending its business operations since the quake, reopened fully on March 24, 2017 (except for part of Sub-anchor Zone) as a facility that can better resist disaster to provide customers with a secure shopping environment.
Aeon will continue to offer a place in the community where everyone can gather with a smile.
