High school and university students from Asian nations gathered in Japan to discuss social issues.

In aim to promote friendship and to nurture the next generation who can take actions in the global society, Aeon offers opportunities for Asian students to appreciate diverse sense of values of each other through discussions on various social issues of the host country. From six countries, 53 high school students participated in the Asia Youth Leaders 2017 event hosted by Aeon 1% Club on the theme of dietary education to discuss the challenges they discovered through expert lectures and research activities. At the Sixth Asian Students Environment Platform (ASEP) Forum held by the Aeon Environmental Foundation under the theme, "Biodiversity and Regeneration," 64 university students representing eight countries examined the environmental issues and regeneration of destroyed biodiversity that the disaster-affected areas in Tohoku face. Both programs were held in Japan and spanned for about one week in August 2017. On the final day of each session, participants presented their ideas in groups on how they could resolve these issues.
