Thua Thien-Hue is a province on the north central coast of Vietnam, and the city of Hue, the ancient capital of the Nguyen Dynasty, was Vietnam’s first to be registered as a world heritage site. Although resorts are being developed in the Lang Co area of Hue, during the monsoon season it is common for local rivers overflow and flood the homes in the city. A 5-year program of tree planting and arboriculture is implemented to restore the beautiful waterfront there.
