The MIDORI Prize for Biodiversity 2010 Prize Winners were announced at UN Headquarters in New York

During the United Nations General Assembly, Mr. Ryu Matsumoto, Japan's Minister of the Environment, Mr. Takuya Okada, Chairman of the AEON Environmental Foundation, and Dr. Ahmed Djoghlaf, Executive Secretary of the Convention on Biological Diversity, announced the 2010 recipients of the MIDORI Prize for Biodiversity at the press conference held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on September 21, 2010.

The 2010 recipients were Mr. Jean Lemire, Dr. Gretchen C. Daily and Dr. Emil Salim who have made great efforts to protect the world's biodiversity and the health of the ecosystem.
