We are working on environmental education with the aim of raising interest in the environment and developing individuals who can take on a globally active role in the environmental field in the future.

Asian Students Environment Platform (ASEP)

Asian Students Environment Platform aims to develop human resources in the environmental field who can play an active role on the global stage. ASEP brings together university students from various Asian countries to discuss and make proposals on global environmental issues that transcend national borders while learning about differences in the natural environment and values in their respective countries. A total of 679 university students from ten countries have participated so far.

AEON Future Earth Forum

Donation of Solar Power Systems

Since 2009, we have been donating solar power systems to elementary and junior high schools in Japan and overseas for the purpose of raising awareness, promoting the use of renewable energy, and providing environmental education. We have donated solar power systems to a total of 55 schools in Japan, China, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Hong Kong.

EcoPro

We have been participating in EcoPro, one of the largest environmental exhibitions in Japan, every year since 2017.

Survey of Carbon Stocks

Since 2020, we have been conducting surveys of forest carbon stocks involving local elementary and junior high school students as part of their environmental education using AEON forests.

AEON Eco-1 Grand Prix

The AEON Eco-1 Grand Prix is a contest for high school students who are involved in eco-friendly activities at their schools. This contest invites high school students, who are the leaders of the next generation, to submit entries for the Eco-Activities that they are engaged in every day at their schools. The aim is to raise environmental awareness and further expand eco-activities at many schools by introducing the activities of outstanding high school students from all over the country. Since 2021, our Foundation has become a co-sponsor of the event along with the AEON 1% Club Foundation and The Mainichi Newspapers.
