Phu Gyi Reservoir, about 60km north of Yangon, is used as a domestic water reservoir for the city. However, due to many years of logging, the forest surrounding the reservoir was ruined, lowering its watershed functions of adjusting the flow of rivers and preventing water shortages. We planted trees to restore these watershed functions.

* Watershed functions: Stores rainwater in the forest soil and levels the amount of water that flows into rivers and lakes to prevent flooding and water shortages.
