Human rights education

Human rights training

Human rights training begins with the orientation when employees join the company and is held once a year throughout their employment. After the Human Rights College (12 human rights courses held four times a year) is held for human rights promotion promoters from each Group company, participants then implement and promote education at their own companies as the main promoters of human rights promotion at each company.
  1. Human Rights Awareness Promotion Committee (held once every six months)
The committee that deliberates, decides and evaluates the direction, issues and annual initiatives of human rights awareness at AEON conducts training for promotion managers of each group company.
  2. Human rights awareness promotion seminars (held once every six months)
Promoting sharing and understanding of AEON 's human rights awareness promotion direction and providing training for human rights promotion promoters and promotion officers of each group company
  3. Human Rights College (4 times a year)
Curriculum setting to systematically learn the basics of human rights throughout the year. Persons appointed from each group company, human rights enlightenment promoters and promotion staff are eligible for the course
  4. Human rights promotion leader/philosophy training (about 10 days a year)
The Human Rights Enlightenment Office and the Corporate Ethics Team work together to develop leaders who will play a central role in promoting human rights and philosophy education within the company.

Diversity Training — “Daimanzoku” College

We carry out diversity training in order to solve the issues that each company has in common in promoting diversity and inclusion. In fiscal 2020, all activities were made online, and the strength of cross-group learning and interaction opportunities became more apparent.

Code of Conduct Education / Training

In order to share and sympathize with the "AEON Code of Conduct," which is the pillar of our corporate ethics promotion, we mainly conduct four training programs: "AEON Executive Compliance Training," "Managerial Employee Code of Conduct Training," "Regular Employee Code of Conduct Training," and "New Employee Training." In addition, we incorporate the content and curriculum of the Code of Conduct into the assignments for each promotion test and in the training for new employees.

Establishing an education system that supports the growth of employees

AEON believes that "education is the greatest welfare." This phrase expresses the belief that education, not just salary and benefits, is what enriches employees' lives. Based on this belief, we have established various educational systems that respond to employees' ambition and support their growth. In addition, we hold interviews twice a year where employees can review their work performance and challenges, discuss their hopes for the future, and regularly evaluate their individual performance and careers.
