About Supplier Hotline

AEON accepts consultations and reports from our valued business partners and their employees through the "Business Partner Hotline." We aim to keep the entire supply chain safe and secure, so that we can provide better products and services to our customers.

Target user

Who can use the hotline?

1) Organizations, employees (including those who have left the company within the past year) and executives involved in products and services that trade with AEON
② Organizations, employees (including those who have left the company within the past year) and executives involved in the supply chain* of Topvalu products

Anyone who meets any of the above criteria

* What is a supply chain?
The connections in all processes, from raw materials to products and services reaching the customer, including procurement, manufacturing, inventory management, delivery and sales.

Report details

Any behavior or case that violate “AEON Human Rights Policy” or “AEON Supplier Code of Conduct

  • Human rights violations, including child labor, forced labor, abuse and harassment, and discrimination
  • Working conditions, including working hours, wages, benefits, freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining
  • Working environment, including health and safety issues in the workplace
  • Significant impact on the environment
  • Violations of relevant laws, regulations, rules, or requests from AEON
  • Comments on transactions with AEON

Flow of “Supplier Hotline”

AEON Co., Ltd. will act as the contact point and request an investigation from an AEON Group company that does business with the whistleblower's company (business partner). Depending on the content of the report, we will respond in cooperation with external contractors and specialist institutions.

Confidentiality and Protection of consulters and informants

  • We will comply with the laws and regulations regarding personal information protection that apply to AEON and each of our business partners.
  • We will respect the privacy of those who make reports.
  • The personal information of individuals who make reports will be used solely for the purpose of investigation and will not be disclosed to third parties or their affiliated organizations without the individual's consent.

  • Consulters and his/her organization won’t suffer any disadvantage or retaliatory action by Aeon due to the consultation or reporting for a legitimate reason. However, it doesn’t apply in cases of bad-faith reports that are malicious slander or libel.
  • AEON Supplier Business Code of Conduct prohibits business partners from subjecting whistleblowers to unfavorable treatment at their workplace as a result of their legitimate complaint or report.

How to Report

◆About the operation of the hotline

  1. As a general rule, please report using your real name. Anonymous reports are also accepted, but please be aware that there are limitations to the investigation to confirm the facts, and that we may not be able to explain the corrective measures, etc.
  2. Please note that we may not be able to investigate or respond to reports if we are unable to verify the facts or if the reports are false, slanderous, or libelous.
  3. When resolving complaints, we will endeavor to resolve the issue by utilizing independent specialist agencies, etc. as necessary.
  4. The contents of your complaint will also be reported to management, including the responsible officer.
  5. Through a review of reporting records, we will revise our complaint handling system and improve its effectiveness.
